Cinnamon Fruit Smoothie

Desperately looking for something healthy for breakfast this morning I remembered I had a bag of frozen fruit in the freezer.  A smoothie might not sound like the most obvious of winter breakfasts but it's nearly spring and the cinnamon makes it feel somehow cosier on these crisp mornings.



Cinnamon Fruit Smoothie - Serves 1

Ingredients

150g, 5oz Mixed frozen fruit - mine had blackberries, blackcurrants, strawberries and redcurrants
200ml, 6.5fl oz Grape juice
1 apple, grated including skin but excluding core
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method

Grate the apple into a blender, add the frozen fruit (it can be frozen or defrosted, whichever you prefer).  Add the cinnamon and grape juice.

Blend until smooth and serve.  


Something this purple must be doing you some good!  Even if it isn't, it tastes great anyway.
