A lovely little dish of prawns for an evening nibble or starter for one or a delish little amuse bouche for you and your loved one.
Prawn tapas - Serves 1
Ingredients
100g, 4oz Raw prawns (shrimp)
1 tsp olive oil
1-2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp brandy
Parsley
Coarse sea salt
A match... (optional)
Method
Devein the prawns (I really must shoot a video on how to do this sometime.)
Make sure around the hob there isn't anything flammable if you do go down the flambé route.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the chopped garlic and stir for a minute or so. Add in the prawns, cook until almost cooked through, add the brandy then (if you want), light a match and burn off the alcohol.
When cooked, sprinkle on the parsley and some salt and serve.
I've uploaded this to Recipe of the Week.
So many of us find ourselves eating alone or as a couple and, as a result, so many of us reach for convenience solutions. What if we cooked for ourselves like we were cooking for someone we loved? This is what this site is all about. Some of the food is healthy, some isn't, all of it is made with love.
